Perry for President?
Aug. 2nd, 2011 05:33 amThis is another topic I’ve had on my mind for some time and I’ve hinted around about it a little on Twitter as well. This is probably something that will not set too well with some of my readers but that is going to happen no matter what when you start talking politics. My goal here is not to convince you that I’m right but simply to let you know where my allegiance will stand this coming election.
I should say that all of this is in theory at this point since Governor Perry has not officially thrown his hat into the ring for POTUS 2012 but many, many signs are pointing that way. Various groups and even the governor himself has hinted and joked around some about whether he would or would not run. My gut feeling tells me that he will run and that he will be the Republican nominee when all the dust has settled. I also think that if he doesn’t win then he will certainly give President Obama a run for his money.
I got wordy again so it's going behind a cut to save your friends page

For me this is a bit of a self-serving decision and might label me as a one-issue voter but such is life ya know. Sitting at home and without a paycheck for nearly five months this year gave me plenty of time to watch the news and all of the political nonsense that goes on in a daily basis. None of them are going to look out for me so why should I support them. I’m going to support the slightly crazy, gun-totting, Stetson wearing Texan that just might do something that helps me stay employed. Social issues be damned. I know that is a bit harsh but what’s the point of having gay marriage if I can’t find work? What good does that do me?
